This is an exciting opportunity to participate in KDI’s rapid growth cycle and contribute to the extraordinary customer experience through thoughtful materials and production planning. The Buyer/Planner is responsible for timely component procurement and efficient manufacturing operations execution for electro-mechanical system assembly and machine shop operations. This role will ensure successful and timely completion of customer purchase orders and implementation of efficient processes to support the continued growth and expansion of KDI. Individual in this role will be a critical team member with highly visible tasks and opportunities for development and growth within KDI’s organization.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or science field is required.
  • 1-5 years of experience in production or medical device operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and execute within business’s ERP system.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook or equivalent.
  • Strong business acumen and drive to succeed.
  • Capable of working and effectively communicating with employees at multiple levels within the organization including senior management, engineering, production, and machine operators/ assemblers.
  • The ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with minimal direction while shifting priorities as they change is critical to this position.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ‘Can-do-it’ attitude is a must.

Preferred

  • Medical device or manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of cGMP and/or ISO 13485 is a plus.
  • Experience with machining and / or assembly of Class I and Class II medical products
  • Experience using ERP and/or MRP systems for planning and scheduling workloads.
