Writing Your Cover Letter
Your cover letter demonstrates your writing ability and goes into further detail how you meet the requirements of the job description. It is a best practice to use a new cover letter with each job application that clearly indicates your interest in a specific position at a specific organization. Use the resources below as a guideline to create or update your resume.

Seeking Feedback?
CSP’s Office of Career Development is available to provide feedback on your resume and/or cover letter. To receive feedback, you can:
- Email CareerDevelopment@csp.edu with your resume attached along with what you are using the resume for (i.e. job in a specific field, career shift, internship, graduate school, assignment).
- Schedule an appointment. To do so, log into your Handshake account (with your CSP username and password), select the “Career Center” then “Appointments”.
