Michael is an entertainer, producer, and director for Skybound Entertainment as well as the creator and producer for multiple YouTube channels such as CineFix and Tasted. With millions of subscribers and almost half of a billion video views, Michael describes his creative process and how interested viewers can try to follow suit.

>> My name is Mike Cruz and I, hmm, I should have thought of this answer before hand. My name is Mike Cruz and I make YouTube videos. Skybound Entertainment is a multi-faceted media production company owned by Robert Kirkman, who's the creator of The Walking Dead. So we co-produce the show, The Walking Dead, on AMC and Fear The Walking Dead and an upcoming show called Outcast. For the last couple of years I've built out two channels unrelated to Skybound called CineFix and Tasted, which are, at this point, together about 3 and a half million subscribers and about a quarter of a billion views and Tasted is a food channel. We're really mainly oriented at a young male demographic and CineFix is sort of a film, fun-education, enter-educate entertainment channel about like film making and film history. So it really depends on the project. So we, I work on a daily basis on everything from I set this up in my room and I talk to my camera for about 20 to 25 minutes and then hand that footage off to someone to edit it down for me and make me sound interesting, cool, or fun, which is really hard work for very little money. And then up into producing what is effectively a television-scale reality, reality shows or fictional shows, which is, you know, getting, hiring a crew, doing all the legal procedures, working with the guilds, working with agencies to cast [inaudible] work with actors, hire directors, find writers, really dot he whole gambit of producing, writing, directing, or being in any of those projects.
