>> My name's Emily Lundi, and I'm the director of Talent and Organization Development. And currently, I work at Ingram Micro, and we're based in Irvine. It's a part of the corporate human resources function, and we really focus in on if you think about when people get hired and then they get developed and then they turn into leaders. So it's looking at really the employee lifecycle from walking through the door, coming in from a recruitment standpoint, all the way through associate development, leadership development. From a corporate standpoint, there's tools and processes that get developed, that get deployed throughout the organization. And so, that's the talent piece, looking at the talent from walking in the door, all the way through till they retire basically. And then the organization development piece is do we have the right performance management process, do we have the right succession management. So talent management, as a whole, is just looking at the whole lifecycle of the organization in concert with the organizational goals. Well, we institute what's called a talent and assessment process. And so, again, that's a global process where we're looking at our people and we're basically differentiating who are the high performers, who are the high potential, who are the people who we believe can take the leadership role at some point and time in the organization. And then we work with those people, develop them, and make sure that they have the skills, they have the right moves. We're working with their leaders as coaches to coach them to be successful. So that's one way. Another way is we offer global development programs for people, whether it's online learning or programs like at school, where they come in and they get to learn things like communication skills or persuasive speaking or, you know, skills that are really going to help them be more effective across the board. So we will look at those on a global basis, again, make sure it's in local language, and then deploy those as the countries need them.
